Seen or likely to be seen viral diseases of cattle, sheep, goat and horse are diagnosed in Virological Diagnostic Laboratory.
In Virological Diagnostic Laboratory, cattle, sheep, goat and horse diseases are diagnosed in accordance with World Animal Health Organization (OIE).
For the viral diaseases which we are reference for (Rinderpest, Peste des Petit Ruminant, Bluetongue, African Horse Sickness, Enzootic Bovine Leucosis, IBR / IPV, Equine Infectious Anemia, Equine Viral Arteritis), confirmation of regional laboratories' results, validation studies and training programs are done by our Laboratory.
Outbreak investigation, seroepidemiological studies are carried out by our Laboratory.
Our Laboratory is also responsible for performing imported or exported animals such as cattle sheep and goats' tests.
Training programs about diagnosis of viral diseases in animals, are organized for other Veterinary Control Institutes' veterinarians and field veterinarians and also for farmers moreover there is also consulting services for them.
Consultation service is also given in various commissions created by the ministry on related matters to viral diseases.
B. SCOPE OF ACCREDITATION
Virological Diagnostic Laboratory is accepted in terms of Accreditation by French Food Health and Safety Agency (AFSSA) in May 2004 for the diseases: African Horse Sickness (AHS) and (Equine Infectious Anemia-EIA) and Equine Viral Arteritis and this accreditation is approved by European Commission.
Our laboratory is accreditated regarding TURKAK TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 standards for detection of African Horse Sickness (AHS) by Antibody ELISA, detection of Equine Infectious Anemia by Antibody ELISA and confirmation with AGID, detection of "Enzootic Bovine Leucosis by ELISA and detection of Blue Tongue by Antibody ELISA.

Our Laboratory serves as National Reference Laboratory for Rinderpest (RP), Peste des Petite Ruminants (PPR), Bluetongue (BT), African Horse Sickness (AHS), Enzootic Bovine Leucosis (EBL), IBR / IPV, Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA), Equine Viral Arteritis (EVA), Classical Swine Fever (CSF).
