​In Pathology Laboratory necropsies are performed on dead animals or on sick animals which are suspected of having the disease, from the provinces and districts which are under Institute Directorate's responsibility. According to the detected findings, histopathological diagnosis is made from tissue samples with suspected disease and in necessary cases special stains can be displayed.

Pathology Laboratory is responsible for the distribution of the samples to the related laboratories according to suspected diseases.

Pathology Laboratory provide training related to our field, especially sample taking and sending training.

Necessary examinations and analyzes for forensic events related to animal deaths are performed and reported.
