The Pasteurellosis Laboratory is one of the first laboratories when the institute was established in 1914. The laboratory produces bovine septicemia serum, Escherichia coli vaccine, Salmonella abortus ovis vaccine, hemorrhagic septicemia vaccine and Escherichia coli K99 antigen for research purposes. The duties of the laboratory include regional and national epidemiological studies, field vaccine efficacy controls, R&D activities for vaccines. In addition, the sterility tests of injectable veterinary medicines produced and imported in Turkey are been performed by the laboratory in accordance with the "Regulation on Veterinary Medicinal Products" numbered 28152."
