On May 25, 2023, our institute hosted an 'Epidemiology Training' session, with the participation of veterinarians working in the Epidemiology Unit from 12 cities under the jurisdiction of the Pendik Veterinary Control Institute.
This training covered a range of crucial topics, including 'Basic Epidemiology,' 'Epidemiology Research,' 'Disaster Epidemiology,' 'Creating and Applying Pivot Tables,' 'Correct Data Entry,' and 'Epidemiology Report Evaluation.' The training was meticulously prepared and conducted by a team of experts from our Institute's Epidemiology Unit, which included Associate Professor Dr. Pelin TUNCER GOKTUNA, Dr. Hakan ENUL, Dr. M. Engin MALAL, Osman DOGAN, Hüsamettin AVCI, and Elif COKAN MADENCI.
Following the training, attendees engaged in discussions addressing challenges experienced in the field, proposed solutions, and made predictions for future developments. The significance of accurate data transmission for establishing a robust epidemiological data network was emphasized.
